MEDAN – The Medan City Communications and Informatics Office (Diskominfo) has achieved a new milestone in government information security. Under professional guidance from MMM Consulting Group, the Medan City Communications and Informatics Office successfully implemented the international standard ISO/IEC 27001:2022. This achievement demonstrates the Medan City Government's commitment to maintaining data sovereignty and protecting public privacy amidst the massive digital transformation. "The guidance from MMM Consulting Group was very in-depth and technical. They helped us identify system vulnerabilities and establish stringent security protocols," said a representative from the Medan City Communications and Informatics Office. With the implementation of ISO/IEC 27001:2022, all digital infrastructure managed by the Communications and Informatics Office—from data centers to citizen service applications—now operates under the supervision of global security standards. This achievement is expected to inspire other Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPDs) to immediately standardize their information security.
